3 Ingredient Pumpkin Brownies

This easy recipe for 3 ingredient pumpkin brownies is the perfect way to get in on all the fall pumpkin action, even if you aren’t a fan of pumpkin, you really don’t even taste the pumpkin. It’s for the amazing moistness it gives with the perfect brownie chew. These brownies are extra delicious and everyone who has had some loved these brownies so much. You will too. Especially since it’s the easiest recipe.

When fall rolls around, I go into full pumpkin mode. Pumpkin muffins, pumpkin bars, pumpkin anything – I make it all. Of course, I do understand that not everyone is a fan of pumpkin spice, but guess what? Not everything made with pumpkin has to be pumpkin spice-oriented. Pumpkin is a wonderful addition to any baked good because it makes for a super moist final product. That’s especially tasty in recipes like these brownies. They’re rich, chocolaty, and fudgy, and the added pumpkin gives them an even richer texture with a very mild pumpkin flavor that seems to bring out the richness of the chocolatey taste.

3 Ingredient Pumpkin Brownies

This recipe starts with boxed brownie mix. I combine the mix with pumpkin puree, and then, fold in chocolate chips for even more delicious chocolate flavor. Finally, these yummy brownies are topped with even more chocolate chips and baked until the brownies are rich, fudgy, and oh, so good. That’s all there is to it. The entire process takes almost no effort, but they’re so good, they taste like you spent hours in the kitchen making homemade brownies. That’s the best part. You get all the glory with none of the work. LOL

How to Make Easy 3 Ingredient Pumpkin Brownies

Making these brownies is just as easy as the ingredient list. It only takes a few minutes and a few simple steps. You’ll be in and out of the kitchen in no time!

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line an 8×8 baking dish with parchment paper.(A good tip, crumble up the parchment paper just a bit. This helps with it staying put in the baking pan.) Let the parchment paper hang over the sides to make it easier to lift the brownies out.
  2. Combine the brownie mix and pumpkin puree in a large bowl. If using vanilla extract, add now. Then, fold in 3/4 cups of chocolate chips.
  3. Scoop the batter into the baking dish and spread it out in an even layer. Top with the remaining chocolate chips.
  4. Bake at 350 for 22 to 25 minutes until the brownies begin to set up around the edges and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a bit of batter on it.
  5. Remove the brownies from the oven and cool them in the pan for 10 minutes.
  6. Lift the brownies out of the pan and cool on the counter for another 10 to 15 minutes.
  7. Cut into 9 squares and enjoy!

What to Serve with Pumpkin Brownies

These brownies are perfect with a glass of milk or a cup of coffee or tea. You can also top them with a bit of whipped cream or serve them with a scoop of ice cream.

Tips

  • The batter is supposed to be super thick.
  • Your toothpick should be coated in a small amount of batter when you check for doneness. Carry-over cooking time will bake them to perfection.
  • The brownies will be super moist, fudgy, and gooey when they’re done. Don’t worry. They’re not raw!
  • Be sure you make your parchment paper long enough to hang over the edges of the baking dish. It makes it so much easier to remove the brownies.
